Location And Environment

Mazike Valley Lodge is in Kyambura Gorge, also known as the “Valley of Apes”. In Luganda, an ape is called “Mazike”, which authenticates the name, its location, and the attraction around it. Mazike Valley Lodge is a Queen Elizabeth National Park lodge on the Eastern side of the park.

Accommodation At Mazike Valley Lodge

There are eight (8) private, exclusive, and tastefully designated cottages.

This lodge is designed in the 1920s safari style which will give you the ambiance of the ancient safari days.

The cottages have a shelling at the back holding the piping frame in place. This leads to the bathroom and toilet.

The outer banana roofing made of fiber or papyrus reeds helps to regulate the hot tropical heat of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Building the cottages in local material is part of a conservation strategy.

These cottages are a source of unlimited privacy, exclusivity, and sereneness.

Four (4) cottages sit on each side of the guest house with a small intimate swimming pool. They have 3 doubles and 5 twins but the staff can add an extra bed for visitors traveling with children.

The spacious cottages have elegant dug-in bathtubs, showers, flush toilets, and washbasins with hot water for the whole day.
