Day 1: Transfer To Murchison Falls National Park And A Visit To Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary For White Rhino Tracking
After an early breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up at 6:30 am from your hotel in Kampala for a 310km that takes 7-8 hours to Murchison Falls NP which is the largest national park in Uganda.
A drive through the beautiful countryside will take you through busy roadsides, the markets, and quiet rural villages before making a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. At Ziwa, you will have a 2 hours Rhino tracking experience on foot as the place is the only area in Uganda to find wild Rhinos. The sanctuary keeps over 32 wild Rhinos in Uganda.
After Rhino trekking, you will have lunch at Kabalega Dinner and then continue to Murchison Falls National Park, which is a lovely destination for Uganda wildlife safaris. Murchison Uganda has over 76 mammal species and around 556 bird species. The longest river in the world (River Nile) crosses it hence creating the strongest waterfalls in the world, “Murchison Falls”.

Day 2: A Morning Game Drive And An Afternoon Nile Boat Cruise To The Bottom Of The Falls
After an early breakfast buffet at 6:00 am, you will be driven for a 3-4 hours game drive in the beautiful Buligi game area which is 160 km long. You will then begin your day with early grazers coming out of their hideouts to feed. On a lucky day, you can even have the chance to spot Lions hunting the Buffaloes or the Uganda Kobs.
On the game drive, also look out for Leopards, Elephants, Giraffes, Hyenas, and various antelopes like Jackson’s Hartebeest, Reedbucks, Waterbucks, Bushbuck, and many others. You will also view many birds like the graceful Secretary Bird.
After your exhilarating game drive, you will then go to relax and have lunch, and at 2: 00 pm, do a 17 km tranquil Nile boat cruise to the bottom of the falls where you will sightsee the gigantic Murchison Falls which are the strongest waterfalls in the world.
While on the soothing cruise, you will also see Hippos, Crocodiles, Elephants, Buffaloes, and Antelopes along river banks and boundless bird species like Pelicans, Goliath Herons, and Kingfishers.

Day 3: Visit To The Top Of Murchison Falls And A Transfer To Kibale National Park
Your yummy breakfast will be at 8 am, after which you will check out of your lodge for a drive to the top of Murchison Falls to see the world’s strongest waterfalls from a new vantage point. Then, a drive to Kibale National Park which is the primate capital of Africa will follow.
Your journey will be a scenic and merry one as you pass along the Albertine rift valley, meeting men and women in their daily economic activities, plus some other women carrying their children behind the back in the monkey style.
You will then reach Fort Portal town for lunch then continue with the drive to Kibale National Park which is popular for having the highest number of primates in Africa.
The park has 13 primate species consisting of about 1500 Chimpanzees and other species like the rare L’hoest’s Monkeys, Olive Baboons, Blue Monkeys, Vervet, and Red-Tailed Monkeys. This park also has over 370 bird species for example the beautiful African Pitta and the Great Blue Turaco which you can see during your Chimpanzee trekking experience.

Day 5: Morning Chimpanzee Trekking In Kibale Forest, An Afternoon Bigodi Community Village Walk, And A Transfer To Queen Elizabeth National Park
After your heavy breakfast at 6:30 am, you will head with your packed lunch to Kibale National Park headquarters for a briefing at 8:00 am from an expert park ranger before your Chimpanzee trekking adventure.
Later, you will go for a 2-5 hours Chimpanzee trek in the Kibale Forest to look for Chimpanzees, which are human’s closest cousins sharing about 98.7% DNA.
Upon encountering them, you will spend with them one hour seeing how they groom, socialize, feed, hunt, play, and swing in trees. You will afterward return to the park center to have your packed picnic lunch and receive a Chimpanzee trekking certificate.
The Bigodi community village walk will then happen in the afternoon where you will meet and spend time with the friendly local people, learning about their unique daily life like making the local banana beer, and Waragi gin.

Day 6: Do Ishasha Game Drive En-Route & Transfer To Bwindi Park
After your relaxing breakfast at 8.00 am, you will do a 4-7 hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is the best and most famous spot for trekking Gorillas in Africa.
On your way, you will enjoy an enriching game drive in the Ishasha plains in search of the rare tree-climbing Lions. You will eventually see them resting on the fig tree branches as they watch the Uganda Kobs which are their prey.
Following the magic encounter will be a continuation to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through beautiful terraced hills in Southwestern Uganda

Day 7: Mountain Gorilla Trekking In Bwindi Uganda And A Transfer To Lake Bunyonyi For Relaxation
After having an early breakfast at about 6:30 am, you will transfer to Bwindi national park headquarters with your packed lunch for briefing at 8: 00 am.
The activity through the misty forest will take about 2-8 hours depending on where you find the Mountain Gorillas.
On meeting them, you will have an amazing experience watching them communicate, feed, groom, and see the mighty silverback for your memorable Uganda wildlife safari encounter.
You will then head back to the park center where you will be awarded a Gorilla trekking certificate and also have your packed picnic lunch.
Next will be your departure to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation after the tedious Gorilla trekking experience. Lake Bunyonyi is the second deepest lake in Africa after Lake Tanganyika, having beautiful 29 islands hence the reason it is famous for being the place of many islands. To Lake Bunyonyi, you will be driven through the lovely terraced Kigezi highlands.
Upon arrival, you will then get on a relaxing boat cruise to venture into this amazing lake. You will visit the prominent Akampene Island/Punishment Island where unmarried girls who got pregnant were abandoned in the late 19th century. In the Kigezi region, their fathers would take them to the island to either die of hunger or drown to escape family shame.

Day 8: Drive Back To Kampala Through An En-Route Stop At The Equator
The beautiful birds at Lake Bunyonyi will welcome your day and entertain your breakfast session with amazing melodies in their calls. This accounts for the fact that the lake is called Lake Bunyonyi, meaning “a lake of many small birds”.
You will then head on a 473km journey of 7-8 to Kampala through Mbarara. A rest at the Igongo Cultural Center for a delicious traditional lunch dish and a tour of the cultural museum will be the next exciting adventure.
