Day 1: Transfer To Murchison Falls NP, And Visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary To Trek & See White Rhinos

After your early breakfast, our driver guide will pick you up at 6:30 am from your hotel in Kampala and embark on a 310km (7-8 hours) drive to Murchison Falls NP- the largest park in Uganda. You’ll drive through amazing countryside, busy roadside, markets, and quiet rural villages, make a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary– for a 2- hour memorable on-foot encounter with the only 32 wild rhinos in Uganda.

After rhino trekking, have lunch at Kabalega Dinner, and continue to Murchison falls park– a superb destination for Uganda wildlife safaris home to over 76 mammals and 556 bird species, crossed by the Nile- the world’s longest river and boasts the strongest waterfall in the world “Murchison Falls”.

On arriving in Murchison park, undertake a short game drive as you head to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2: Do A Morning Game Drive & An Afternoon Nile Boat Cruise To The Bottom Of The Falls

After your early breakfast buffet at 6 am, you’ll transfer to a 3-4 hours game drive in the scenic Buligi game area (160km long). You’ll start your day with early grazers coming out from their hideouts to feed and on a lucky day, you can get a chance of spotting lions hunting buffalos or kobs.

Keep an eye out for lions, buffaloes, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, antelopes like Jackson’s hartebeest, reedbucks, waterbucks, bushbuck, etc. plus several birds counting the amazing secretary bird.

After a thrilling game drive, transfer to your lodge for relaxation and lunch. At 2 pm, you’ll transfer to undertake a 17km tranquil Nile boat cruise to the bottom of the falls to explore the gigantic Murchison falls– the strongest falls in the world.

While on this soothing cruise, you’ll spot hippos, and crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes along river banks plus countless birds counting pelicans, goliath herons, kingfishers, etc.

The climax of this amazing voyage is having a close to the thunderous Murchison Falls. After enjoying the dramatic scenery of the 50m legendary Nile River fighting to pass through an 8m narrow gorge, you’ll return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 3: Visit The Top Of Murchison Falls & Transfer To Kibale National Park

After a yummy breakfast at 8 am, you’ll check out at your lodge and transfer to the top of Murchison Falls to view the world’s strongest waterfalls from another breathtaking perspective. After, embark on a drive to Kibale National Park– the primate capital of Africa.

You’ll pass through the impressive scenery of the Albertine rift valley, meet men and women engaging in economic activities plus encounter women carrying their little one’s monkey style- “behind the back”.

You reach Fort Portal in time for lunch, after lunch, continue the drive to Kibale NP popular for the highest density of primates in Africa, with 13 species of primate including about 1500 chimpanzees plus other 12 species counting the rare L’hoest’s monkeys, olive baboons, blue monkeys, vervet and red-tailed monkeys plus over 370 bird species counting the beautiful African pitta, great blue turaco, etc. which are encountered on the chimp trek.

Day 5: Morning Chimpanzee Trekking In Kibale Forest, Afternoon Bigodi Community Village Walk & Transfer To Queen Elizabeth NP

After breakfast at 6:30 am, with your packed lunch, transfer to Kibale National Park headquarters for a chimp trekking briefing that starts at 8 am from an expert park ranger. After, you’ll embark on a 2-5 hours trek in the Kibale Forest in search of amazing chimps- man’s closest cousins sharing over 98.7% DNA similar to that of humans.

On encounter, you’re limited to one magical hour observing how chimps groom, feed, socialize, hunt, play, or swing in trees and after, return to the briefing point for a packed picnic lunch.

In the afternoon, undertake a memorable village walk in the Bigodi community, spend time with the friendly local people, and learn about their unique ways of life including making local banana beer, and Waragi gin.

From here, drive to Queen Elizabeth NP– the most famous park in Uganda with eye-catching scenery and great bio-diversity of over 600 birds and 95 mammal species counting 4 of the African safari big five (lions, elephants, buffalos, & elephants) except rhinos. Arrive in the evening for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 6: Do Ishasha Game Drive En-Route & Transfer To Bwindi Park

After a relaxed breakfast at 8.00 am, you’ll embark on a 4-7 hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park– the best spot for spotting gorillas in Africa. Along the way, you’ll enjoy a memorable game drive in Ishasha plains in search of the incredible tree-climbing lions.

You’ll spot these amazing creatures comfortably resting up in fig tree branches gazing at their Preys “Uganda kobs” feeding in the savannah.

After this wonderful encounter, continue to Bwindi through the eye-catching terraced hills of southwestern Uganda as you make your way to the misty Bwindi impenetrable forest– a UNESCO site boasting almost 50% of the 1,063 mountain gorillas on earth, 23 Albertine endemic birds, 10 primate species, 400 plant species plus over 120 mammal species, etc.

Day 7: Do Mountain Gorilla Trekking In Bwindi & Transfer To Lake Bunyonyi For Relaxation

After an early breakfast at around 6:30 am, you transfer to Bwindi park headquarters with your packed lunch for a remarkable gorilla trekking adventure. You’ll start with a briefing at 8 am and get allocated the gorilla family to track. After, you’ll embark on a relatively difficult trek in the misty forest for 2-8 hours depending on the location of the gorillas.

On encountering them, you enjoy one magical hour observing the incredible ways of their communication, feeding, grooming, and sight at the sheer size of the silverback thus, experiencing Africa’s most memorable wildlife safari encounter.

After, return to the starting point to have your gorilla trekking certificate, enjoy your packed picnic lunch and depart for Lake Bunyonyi– the most spectacular lake in Uganda boasting 29 dazzling islands. You’ll drive through the impressive terraced Kigezi highlands.

On arrival, you’ll embark on a relaxing boat cruise to explore this wonderful lake. You can visit the prominent Akampene Island (Punishment Island) where unmarried girls (in the late 19th century) in the Kigezi region could be taken by their fathers to die of hunger or drown while trying to escape due to shaming their family. Retire from the thrilling experience, relax,  have dinner, and overnight.

Day 8: Transfer Back To Kampala, Do En-Route Stop At The Equator

You’ll have an early breakfast from your lodge while enjoying the sweet melodies of birds thus, getting to understand why the Lake is called Bunyonyi- the lake of small birds.

After, you’ll check out of the lodge and embark on a 473km (7-8 hours) drive to Kampala via Mbarara and settle at Igongo Cultural Center for lunch (delicious traditional dish). You can also visit the cultural museum here and after embark on your drive to Kampala.

From there, you can further have a stopover at the Uganda equator crossing at Kayabwe for incredible photo shoots and buy a souvenir from craft shops around as memorabilia of your safari in Uganda. Continue the drive to Entebbe airport to catch up with your departure flight back home.
