Day 1: Transfer To Kibale National Park; Visit To Amabere Ga ‘Nyinamwiru Caves And The Tea Estates
After breakfast, you will head for a journey to Kibale. The transfer to Kibale National Park is an adventurous journey with some amazing scenery by the roadside. This 5- to 6-hour road trip covers about 300km.
Along the way, you will have many stops, for example, at the Mityana local market. This African market is full of the sweetest of Uganda’s pure organic tropical fruits that will excite your taste buds on the culinary journey.
You may also get the chance to enjoy Uganda’s delicious roasted chicken that is skewered on sticks. Many refer to it as the Ugandan KFC version. For those who want to, you can take a bite of this grilled, finger-licking taste.
In the mid-morning, you will reach the Mpanga tea estates, from where you will go on a cycling adventure. This green tea plantation spreads over a beautiful undulating landscape with an amazing, far-reaching plantation that is best encountered while mountain biking.

Amabere ga’ Nnyinamwiru caves
The Amabere ga’ Nnyinamwiru caves, a breast-like feature, will be your next safari destination. It is believed that this feature belonged to Nyinamwiru, the daughter of the self-acclaimed King Bukuku of the Bachwezi.
King Bukuku cut off her breasts so she could not breastfeed her son Ndahura, upon Bukuku being forewarned that the latter would take over his throne. The milky substance flowing from these caves is believed to be Nyinamwiru’s breast milk.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking In The Morning And An Afternoon Bigodi Wetland Walk
An amazing breakfast will begin your beautiful day so you are energized for the thrilling Chimpanzee trekking experience ahead. Your transfer to the park center in Kanyanchu will be followed by a short briefing about the whole experience of chimpanzee tracking in Uganda.
A park ranger will then lead you through the experience in the jungle while you search for these amazing great apes. Upon meeting them, you will see how similar they are to humans by the way they laugh, hug, groom, kiss, and look after their young ones.
Other than the chimpanzees, you will also meet other primates like the Black and White Colobus Monkeys, L’Hoest Monkeys, and Grey Monkeys. Day 3: Drive To Queen Elizabeth National Park Through Ruboni Community Center
The third day of your Uganda tour begins with breakfast at 8:00 am, then a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for about 157 km, taking approximately 2–3 hours’ drive as you relish the scenic Rwenzori Mountains in Rwenzori Mountains National Park.
You will have an en-route stop at the Ruboni village in Kasese on the slopes of Mount Rwenzori. From here, you will encounter the cultural traditions of the Bakonzo people, who have had the foothills of Mount Rwenzori as their home for centuries.
Through this cultural tour, you gain insight into the daily lives of these people for example, cooking food and interacting with the Bakonzo elders, who will unveil to you their tribal literature journey when they tell you about their ancient past and how their culture and people have evolved to where they are today.
While with the Bakonjo on a clear day, you will be able to view the proudly standing Mount Baker and Portal peaks on top of the horizon and many birds in Queen Elizabeth Park as you walk through the community.

Day 4: Go For A Morning Game Drive And An Afternoon Boat Cruise Along The Kazinga Channel
Day 4 begins with an early breakfast at 6:00 a.m., which proceeds with a morning game drive to explore the Kasenyi Plains. Kasenyi is the richest wildlife area in this park, with 4 out of the 5 big animals in Africa. They include lions, leopards, Cape buffaloes, and large herds of African bush elephants. Other animals in the Kasenyi plains include various antelope species.
The game drive will take about 2–5 hours, after which you will have lunch and then go to the Mweya Penisular jetty for the afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. The boat cruise will be the highlight of this day, as it is considered one of the best boat trips anyone can take.
On this Kazinga Channel boat cruise, you will sail on the serene but turbid stream of the Kazinga Channel, a 42-kilometer-long channel that connects Lake George to Lake Edward.
This boat cruise will give you a close look at the highest concentration of hippos in one place, as the park holds over 5,000 of them. You will also experience the Nile crocodiles as they bask along the shores of this channel.

Day 5: Drive To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Through An En-Route Game Drive In The Ishasha Sector
You will have an early breakfast at 6:30 am before getting into a 4×4 safari car for the 2-3 hour journey to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
This amazing game drive in the Ishasha sector will include looking for tree-climbing lions, and you will find them resting between the tree branches in the mid-morning.
After your 3-hour game drive, you will then go to a suitable lodge in the Ishasha sector for your lunch break, as you will also use the opportunity to stretch your body for the long journey to Bwindi, Uganda.

Day 6: Mountain Gorilla Trekking And A Transfer To Lake Bunyonyi For A Canoe Boat Ride
The sixth day will begin with an early breakfast of various delicious bites at 6:30 am. It will comprise freshly baked confectioneries to energize you for the mountain gorilla trekking experience ahead. This much-anticipated activity will allow you to stay with the Mountain Gorillas for one hour.
You will leave your lodge with your packed lunch and go to the park center, where the warden will narrate to you the history of gorilla conservation in the particular park sector and Bwindi in general.
While at the center, you will also encounter the indigenous Batwa as they take you through their cultural performance with mesmerizing musical skills.
Armed rangers will lead you in the search for a mountain gorilla family. On your way, you will also see various bird species, as the park hosts over 350 bird species. You will also meet the Black and White Colobus Monkeys, L’hoest Monkeys, and different lizards like the endemic 3 Horned Chameleon and many others.
Note:
Upon seeing the mountain gorillas, you will stay with them for an hour as you watch them go about their daily lives. You may even encounter the young Mountain Gorillas breaking the 7-meter rule when they come closer to you for a play.
Following the adventure, there will be a transfer back to the park center, where you will be awarded a gorilla tracking certificate for laboring to track these giant apes.
A journey to Lake Bunyonyi will then follow, where you will get to relax from the tiresome gorilla trekking adventure. The welcoming beauty of the Kigezi highland and the tranquil waters of Lake Bunyonyi, famous for the many islands in its waters, will fascinate you. This is why the lake is also referred to as “The Lake of a Thousand Islands.’’
A relaxing boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi will take you to the historical islands, for example, Akampene Island, also called Punishment Island. This island was where girls who got pregnant before marriage were left to either starve, drown, or be rescued by a man who would marry them without paying a dowry.
On the upside-down island, it is believed through a legend that an old woman asked the locals for beer but they refused to give it to her. Hence, she cursed the island to turn upside down and everyone on it drowned.
After the exploratory boat cruise, you will then be transferred to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Hike To The Top Of The World And Drive To Back To Kampala
At 7:00 am, you will wake up to the sweet melodies of the birds in Lake Bunyonyi. This will give you an insight as to why the lake is called Bunyonyi, which means “Lake of many small birds.”. These birds that sing their hearts away in unison will welcome your beautiful day.
You will then hike to the top of the world, whose point will be 2,200 meters above sea level. This will give you remarkable views of the whole of Lake Bunyonyi and these will be a memory to cherish forever.
At the top of the world, you will have a breathtaking moment, a picnic breakfast of a warm cup of coffee with a range of snacks, and an awe-inspiring nature walk to re-energize you for the slope down. After this, you will drive back to Kampala or Entebbe at a distance of 420km or 470 km, respectively.
The drive will cover the scenic rolling Mirama Hills, with locals cultivating its wild, steep slopes. You will also see many local men carrying farm produce on their bicycles to the nearest local markets.
Note:
An en-route stop at the Igongo Country Hotel for a traditional lunch will offer a delicious lunch buffet and an Ishabwe dish. After this sumptuous lunch buffet, you will continue to visit the 1520 AD solar eclipse monument in Biharwe village.
You are free to hike up the hill where the monument is to enjoy the outstanding views of the undulating Ankole plains with the perfect background for photos. A guide will then tell you the interesting history behind the solar eclipse and how it significantly changed the destiny of three great ancient kingdoms at once.
Thereafter, you will visit the equator point, where you will experience standing on 2 separate halves of the world as each leg stands on each half. From here, you can take as many photos as you like.
A water experience at this point will also teach you how to differentiate the hemisphere from the southern hemisphere, thus enabling you to identify the side of the world that you are standing on.
